This is the time of year when the Osprey are nesting, so we should see nests, adults and maybe even some nestlings or juveniles. No pets allowed, but children are welcome. Museum entry is included in each boat ticket.

Boat capacity: 40 passengers so it is advisable to book early to secure tickets.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to explore the Connecticut River and learn about Osprey conservation efforts in our backyard!

*** Note there is an option to donate to Zeffy when paying for your ticket, you can choose to do so or opt out!

RiverQuest: a tour boat that explores the Connecticut River’s ecology, rich history, and wildlife. On the banks of the Connecticut River, Essex is a picturesque Connecticut waterfront town, with old sea captains’ homes, postcard scenery and a charming, strollable village with artisan shops, eateries and the historic Griswold Inn. Among the many not-to-miss attractions are the Essex Steam Train and the Connecticut River Museum. You may also take a ferry, explore the harbor, and hit the trails. Essex itself is a quintessential New England experience!

What else is happening in Essex? The 4th annual family-friendly 2025 Connecticut Sea Music Festival will take place in Essex, from June 6 - 9, with a Symposium on the Music of the Sea, workshops, concerts, demonstrations of sailor skills, river sails, chantey sings and street activities for kids as well.
