The Explorers Club is a multidisciplinary society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration and resource conservation.

The Explorers Club is a multidisciplinary society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration and resource conservation. Headquartered in New York City with a community of Chapters around the world, The Explorers Club has been supporting scientific expeditions of all disciplines, and uniting our members in the bonds of good fellowship for over a century.

Members join a global network of explorers, scientists, researchers, conservationists and storytellers from around the world. Members gain access to members only events like ECAD weekend (Explorers Club Annual Dinner) meet up every April when members from around the world come together at the New York Club house for 3 days of talks, flag returns, parties and meeting. Many expeditions have been hatched this weekend.

Members can also nominate other members as well as non members for EC50 consideration - individuals are exploring, inspiring, and creating the future—the future of the planet, life upon it, and the boundless possibilities that await us all. Members can join the NGEN community, apply for grants, and join the club mentorship program. And attend World Oceans Week every June and Climate Week every September at the clubhouse.

New England Chapter of The Explorers Club is one of the largest chapters globally with a membership deeply involved in the leadership of NGEN, World Oceans Week, and Climate Week. New England is also wonderfully positioned for adventure, exploration, education and conservation. Many of our talks and events are open to the public. Please check out our events page. NGEN

The Next Generation of Exploration Network is a group within the Explorers Club consisting of and highlighting all younger – roughly under 40 years old – members of the Club.

The Explorers Club Global | ONline

Although we thrive on in person and in the field events the Explorers Club also strives to offer remote options when possible. The Global Organization has an active archive of past talks accessible to members and non members alike. You can find this below on the global club website or on facebook. Additionally some global talks can be streamed live on facebook and youtube.

The New England Chapter is now offering zoom options for talks, the link can be found in the events section or event emails.

EXPLORATION BY ALL MEANS POSSIBLE

All members receive THE EXPLORERS JOURNAL in the mail. THE EXPLORERS JOURNAL has been named one of the top 8 adventure magazines by Gear Patrol and given Print Magazine’s NYC Design Award.

Founded in 1904 to promote exploration “by all means possible,” The Explorers Club is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of field exploration and scientific inquiry. Among our members are leading pioneers in oceanography, mountaineering, archaeology, and the planetary and environmental sciences.

Our members hail from a wide variety of backgrounds all at the top of their fields in science, exploration, and advocay.

The official store of the Explorers Club. This is run through the Club Headquarters in New York, but items can be purchased online, or in person at ECAD in April. You do not need to be a member to shop at the outfitter.
